OUR PROGRAMS

Our mission is delivered through our highly-curated programs that are designed to connect, empower, and inspire changemakers from all sectors and provide them with a platform to share and develop new ideas for social change.

PITCH FOR PITCH ACCELERATOR

Pitch for Pitch is BLACK's annual Start-Up Accelerator and Pitch Competition. This program gives early-stage social entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their idea, network, find support, and potentially win seed money to jumpstart their business. It's called Pitch for Pitch because each contestant will pitch in money and pitch their idea for a chance to win the proceeds. By the end of the program, all participants will walk away with a refined business plan, a pitch deck, and a network of peers. And one lucky finalist will win all the proceeds to fund their start-up for social change. But wait - It doesn't stop there, they will also receive business support from a team of innovative minds to help them build their vision. The goal of this program is to recognize and develop business ideas that are effective in both achieving its social mission and succeeding as a sustainable business venture.

NEXTGEN BLACK LEADERSHIP THINK TANK

NextGen Black Leadership Think Tank is BLACK's annual convening that provides black people a space to gather and collectively address and challenge social issues facing Black America. Each year we bring together emerging black leaders from across the country to express their ideas, opinions, and concerns on everything from poverty to mass incarceration. It is the only gathering of its kind, offering an interactive space for black people to learn about the unique needs of their community, share lessons with peers who have similar interests, and put their heads together to find creative solutions. The program is designed to progress on a continuum from theory to practice - beginning with analyzing the issues and ending with conceptualizing projects to help solve the issues.
